About Us

The Boys & Girls Club of Lunenburg (BGCL) is an after-school program for youth in grades six through ten. It is a positive place where staff and volunteers enable all children, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, responsible and productive citizens.

The philosophy underlying our youth development programs seeks to instill:

• Competence – the feeling that there is something they can do well
• Usefulness – that life is an opportunity to do something of value for other people
• Belonging – a clubhouse environment where every individual knows he or she belongs and is accepted
• Power and influence – the confidence to speak up and be heard

We offer daily access to a broad range of programs in five core program areas:
